Developed Document Type Definitions (DTDs) to accommodate XML/SGML publishing solutions supporting complex document structures.

  Purpose: Support the Technical Document Structure illustrated below.

  Target Users: Technical Writers and Education Specialists responsible for developing documentation and training content for delivery on multiple media (paper, web, online help, etc.). 

Technical Documentation Structure

Major milestones included (but were not limited to):

• Converting massive amounts of legacy data from numerous word processing formats (e.g., WordPerfect, Interleaf, PageMaker, etc.) to standardized authoring templates (FrameMaker and Word) supporting the Technical Documentation Structure.
• Training authors worldwide to use the standardized templates.
• Converting content from Word and FrameMaker to XML/SGML.
• Developing style sheets and other parameters to process XML/SGML data for output to CD-ROM, paper, and the Web.
